Creativity is key.
Below is a detailed look at my professional and creative work over the years.
Account Coordinator
Public Relations & Marketing Assistant
Newberry PR & Marketing
DECEMBER 2022 – JUNE 2024
Transitioning into PR and marketing seemed like the next natural progression on my career journey. My initial foray into this field began with an internship at Newberry Public Relations & Marketing, Inc., where I worked with a team of seasoned professionals. Following a couple of dynamic months of immersion within the team, I happily accepted the role of Account Coordinator.
Marketing Coordinator
Loren Hope Designs
AUGUST 2019 – APRIL 2021
During my near two years at Loren Hope, I had a valued seat at the creative table. However, media relations and journalism is what got me in the door during a summer internship at Newport Life Magazine and Newport Daily News. I had the idea to write a two page spread interview about Loren Hope, and the company’s new flagship store in Newport, Rhode Island. Shortly after that article was published, the costume jewelry brand was so pleased that they offered myself a position within the company.
A small but successful business such as this carries with it a more condensed team, with each member being as important as the next. The purpose for which I was hired was originally to aid the brand in content development and social media strategy, but the job blossomed into more. Building off of my writing skills, I went to work over the first few months writing and curating social media content, blogs and product descriptions. I even had the fun job of naming each piece of jewelry within our seasonal collections.
Storytelling was what brought each product to life. All of this writing was supported by colorful photos and images that I had the pleasure of collaborating on creating. From organized photoshoot productions, to small scale iPhone product flat lays, boomerangs or videos, I had an inspired time making the jewelry sparkle and shine for all of our customers to see online. By the end of my time at Loren Hope, I had created a sizable amount of unique content for over a dozen different capsules and seasonal collections.
Miscellaneous Highlights
Aside from content creation, I took part in the conceptualization of best selling products such as the brand’s ombré collection, convertible necklaces, and even the successful marketing of wholesaled antique french jewelry boxes, to name a few.
I was also tasked with routinely merchandising the brick and mortar storefront, as well as creating the various window displays for any holiday or season.
Public outreach was another aspect of my job. For example, in 2020 I was invited to be on the committee for the NewportFILM Friends Fundraiser, which Loren Hope sponsored.
In late 2020, I was flown to Oklahoma to assist in our yearly holiday photoshoot where I offered input on styling, helped in organizing the shot list, and aided the team in anyway that I could to ensure a successful end result.
Editorial Intern
Newport Life Magazine | Newport Weddings Magazine | Newport Daily News
Summer 2019
An interest in lifestyle writing spurred me to interview for an unpaid internship at Newport Life Magazine, sponsored by the University of Rhode Island. Upon being accepted into the program, I spent the summer of 2019 working alongside other journalists at Newport Daily News, learning firsthand new skills that would improve my writing abilities. My editor at the time, Fred Albert, oversaw my internship and worked closely with me to review as well as provide constructive feedback on my work.
I was fortunate enough to write articles both big and small, from condensed blurbs in the magazines FYI section, to taking charge of the Red Carpet pages which highlighted local charity galas. I also enjoyed writing bridal articles for Newport Wedding Magazine’s Real Weddings section. Another aspect of my job which I enjoyed was taking care of Newport Life’s social media accounts. I got creative making engaging Facebook/Instagram stories and posts. I even made email blasts. By the end of my time at Newport Life, I had successfully written and published dozens of articles for the various sections of the magazine.

StyleUp magazine started small, offering fledgling models an opportunity to obtain experience through free photoshoots, and quickly grew to become a creative online industry resource that connected designers to models throughout the Northeast. I originally got involved writing for the magazine, however after the online books graphic designer left, I jumped on the opportunity to take the creative reins.
Being able to handle the graphic design, as well as directing the overall content of the book, I had the unique opportunity to be as creative as I wanted to be. From designing advertisements for local designers and small businesses, editing articles from our contributors, to creating concepts centered around the vibe of each editorial photo shoot, I had near total creative control. The collaboration aspect that I enjoy so much came from working with our small team, as well as the various models, photographers, makeup artists, and designers that we had the pleasure of representing. When the time came to switch gears, I had walked away from this experience having created seven biannual magazines averaging nearly one hundred pages each.
Versace: 7 Bags for 7 Cities
International Photography Contest Winner
Spring 2017
#VersacePalazzoEmpire
An early interest in photography culminated with winning a competitive international photography contest held by the iconic Italian fashion house, Versace, in late 2016. To enter the “7 Bags For 7 Cities” contest, one had to submit an original photo of something iconic within one of the seven locations featured in the campaign. The seven winners from select cities like Paris, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo would be then flown to Milan, Italy to attend the SS17 Women's Versace fashion show. Bottom right of this text is my original photograph of the Empire State Building that won for New York City, a picture that changed my life. I never imagined that taking a photo on my iPhone, while walking down the street with my cousin, would land me a ticket to Milan. A likeness of the photo was also printed on a limited edition handbag which was sold exclusively in New York City Versace boutiques.
ASSISTANT AT THE BEAUTY WITHIN
MODEL MANAGEMENT
JUNE 2016 – JANUARY 2017
One of my first jobs within the fashion industry was working part-time at a local modeling agency called The Beauty Within. Founded in 2004, this Rhode Island based agency connected high quality talent to clientele throughout the Northeast. This job allowed me to experience a branch of the fashion industry that is essential. I learned how to work with different types of people in professional settings, and even had the opportunity to collaborate creatively on photoshoots. From the day-to-day operations of helping to run an agency, to the organizing of a fashion show or event, I walked away from this position gaining valuable real world experience.
